RDA's Silver Brumbies - Joan & Bob Lemmon
RDAA is delighted to have Joan & Bob volunteer for RDA. They are currently travelling around Australia in a caravan and F250, visiting RDA Centres wherever they can; offering to help in any way they can.
Joan is a qualified accredited Level 2 RDA Coach and Coach Assessor. She managed a riding school that cared for riders of all abilities. As a special needs teacher for 38 years Joan has expertise in severe multiple disabilities. She is also a founder member of Whyalla RDA Centre and helped to establish 3 RDASA Centres. She acts as mentor for RDA volunteers/coaches.
Bob has skills in site development, stables and centre construction and really enjoys ‘hands on’ work. He has supervised Work for the Dole personnel alongside RDA volunteers and correctional services volunteers. He has experience in MYOB and business administration. Bob has been an RDA President for 12 years.
“We haven’t visited a centre yet where we haven’t been put to work!”
